Mau Maus
One of the UK`s first Hardcore Punk bands, the Mau Maus came from Sheffield and in the early 80`s they released a string of brilliant EP`s on the Pax and Rebellion labels. Including ''Society's Rejects'', ''No Concern'', ''Facts Of War'' and ''Tear Down The Walls'', all of which hit the UK Indie Top 10.
In Spike Lee's 1999 film Bamboozled, Mos Def (as Big Black Africa) played the leader of an underground rap group named the Mau Maus so some of the UK group's scrobbles may come from that film's soundtrack, I.E. the song "Blak iz Blak". The other Mau Maus include Gano Grills, Serch, Canibus Charli Baltimore, Mums, and DJ Scratch. Read more on Last.fm.
